Sunder Balasubramanian, chief marketing officer at Myntra, is leaving the fashion e-commerce company after nearly four years. Balasubramanian announced his departure on LinkedIn, saying this week was his last at the company.

Balasubramanian joined Myntra in November 2022 after serving as head of international marketing at South Korean e-commerce company Coupang. During his tenure, he was involved in Myntra’s marketing strategy around Gen Z, creator-led commerce and content-led fashion discovery.

His departure comes during a period of leadership changes at Myntra. Nandita Sinha, who had served as CEO since January 2022, moved to Swiggy’s Instamart earlier this year, where she is now CEO. Sharon Pais succeeded Sinha as Myntra’s CEO.

Under Balasubramanian, Myntra expanded initiatives focused on creator content, video-led discovery and younger consumers. These included Ultimate Glam Clan and Glamstream, a shoppable video platform launched in 2025.

In May 2026, Myntra said more than six million users had signed up for Ultimate Glam Clan, while more than 12 million pieces of content had been created through the initiative. The company also said its active creator base had grown from around 100,000 creators a month to more than 500,000.

Balasubramanian’s career spans advertising, consumer goods, entertainment and e-commerce. He began his career at Goldwire Communications in 2000 before moving to McCann Worldgroup in 2001. He later spent more than 13 years at Colgate-Palmolive across sales and marketing roles, followed by a stint at Disney+ Hotstar and then Coupang.
