Adobe and NVIDIA have expanded their partnership to optimise Adobe’s creative and marketing tools for AI-driven workflows, focusing on applications including Photoshop, Premiere, Substance 3D, Frame.io and Brand Concierge.
The expansion builds on a strategic partnership announced in March and combines Adobe’s creative and marketing software with NVIDIA’s AI models, software libraries and accelerated computing technologies.
Under the agreement, Photoshop, Premiere and Substance 3D Painter have been optimised for NVIDIA’s RTX Spark system. The companies said the updates can deliver up to twice the performance in AI processing and other creative tasks.
In Photoshop, GPU-accelerated compositing is designed to improve responsiveness for tasks such as removing distractions and applying effects. Premiere uses NVIDIA acceleration for playback, rendering, colour, effects and AI features, including Enhance Speech and Object Mask. Substance 3D Painter will use the system to speed up texture-related processes.
“Creative workflows are more multimodal than ever, with many projects spanning images, video, audio, motion and 3D, making performance critical to helping creatives stay focused on their ideas and craft. By partnering with NVIDIA to optimise Photoshop, Premiere and Substance 3D for RTX Spark and accelerating Frame.io in the cloud, we’re delivering the performance creatives need to bring their ideas to life,” said Deepa Subramaniam, vice president of product marketing for creative professionals at Adobe.
The partnership also covers cloud-based media processing and content discovery in Frame.io. The companies have integrated NVIDIA video decoding technology, including NVDEC, alongside TensorRT and CUDA for content preprocessing and embedding generation.
According to the companies, early tests of selected Frame.io workloads showed approximately five times faster embedding generation, a four- to fivefold improvement in 95th-percentile processing latency and an approximately 80% reduction in search proxy size. The changes are intended to help production teams search uploaded media sooner and manage larger content libraries.
“AI agents are helping creators unlock deeper and richer workflows using the Adobe applications they know and love. Powered by RTX Spark, Adobe’s optimised tools deliver up to 2x faster performance to accelerate these new workflows,” said Jason Paul, vice president of local AI at NVIDIA.
The companies are also working on Adobe Brand Concierge, which has been optimised using NVIDIA Nemotron open models. The updated version is expected to be available to enterprise customers later this year. NVIDIA has selected Brand Concierge to support personalised conversational experiences on its website, using organisational data and content to tailor responses.
Adobe and NVIDIA plan to showcase their work for creators at Adobe MAX, scheduled for November 10–12.
